By David Stauss and Shelby Dolen (August 18, 2022, 3:16 p.m. EDT) – The US Data Privacy and Protection Act, or ADPPA, is eligible for a full vote by the US House of Representatives after the the House Committee on Energy and Commerce reported an amended version on July 20.
Prior to reporting on the ADPPA, the House committee passed an amendment in the nature of a substitute which made numerous changes to the bill, including amendments to the bill’s private right of action.
